Insulfix Track is made from UPVC using an extrusion process to form the unique shape that allows insulation board to positioned precisely between the rafters and at the same time, with the engineered fins, locks the boards firmly in place. Insulfix Track is designed and manufactured in the UK.
The R130 Series of Insulfix Track has a height of 130mm. It is primarily designed for use with 150mm deep rafters as this allows a ventilation or drape space to be maintained. However, the R130 Series can be used with 130mm rafters depending on the ventilation requirements, thickness of insulation fitted and the choice of breather membrane. Always check your choice of insulation board and membrane with the manufacturers concerned to ensure that ventilation strategies meet the requirements of the relevant building regulations.
Insulfix Track is used to hold PIR insulation boards securely between rafters. It provides an alternative to the traditional ‘friction-fitting’ approach that can often make the job of insulation rafters a tricky, frustrating and time-consuming experience. Using Insulfix Track is a quick simple and effective way to achieve a professional fit and finish and it also allows the offcuts to be used and can therefore reduce insulation board waste by as much as 90% depending on the rafter spacings.
Insulfix Track is used when insulating a pitched roof at rafter level. It can be used when installing insulation either from inside or outside the roof. Check out our installation videos for more information.
