How to Install Insulfix Track

Insulfix Track itself is very easy to install – just place over the rafter from above or underneath and fix with the recommended nails or screws using the fixing pattern.

Key Benefits

  • Allows quicker and easier fixing of rigid insulation between rafters
  • Locks the insulation boards in place to minimise the gaps that can affect both the U-value and air-tightness performance of the insulated roof.
  • Allows more of the insulation boards to be used as the ‘off-cuts’ can be pushed into the track and stay firmly in place rather than being thrown in the bin.
  • Prevents boards from falling out after installation should the timber or insulation move or shrink over time.
  • Reduces the need to use expanding foam to fill gaps or to ‘foam-in’ the insulation.
  • Ensures a constant ventilation gap remains between the insulation boards and the roof covering.
  • As the insulation boards lock into the Track, they provide more load resistance than a friction-fitted option and provide an added element of confidence to the installer.
