Insulfix Track itself is very easy to install – just place over the rafter from above or underneath and fix with the recommended nails or screws in the fixing pattern shown. However, the tricky part of the installation, as many of you will be painfully aware, is trying to properly fit the insulation boards so they stay in place, in the right position and are butted tightly together to produce a neat and tidy finish. Insulfix Installation
Insulfix Track allows you to now easily fit insulation from outside the roof as well as the more common way of fitting it from inside the roof. If you have a new build situation with access from the outside of the roof you will find this to be a quick and effective way to get the job done.
If you are in a retrofit situation, installing boards from inside the roof, you can ensure the boards are firmly locked in place and cannot be pushed too far in and compromise the ventilation space. Inside or Outside, you can stay on Track to do a quality installation.
